Hello everyone my janet pj and all yo others. I just wanted to give rundown on my thoughts i'm in the province negros occidental. It's about a 5 hour bus ride north of dumaguete. I want to give you a breakdown what i think cause should be for the average joe here in the provinces as opposed to the city. $5000 USD This amount will make you the king in any part of the philippines! Do pretty much what you want when you want and get yourself a new car blah blah blah. Go out and party with the ladies. $2500 USD I believe you can live really decent in the provincial areas with this you have a motorcycle. You will have a decent around $400/month. You can go out to the restaurant once or twice a week. Street food in the philippines is delicious in most towns. Probably can go out on the weekends and do a drinking on a night or 2. You will be very comfortable. $1500 You can bet by on this only being careful with your $$. Apartments will cost around 300 to 400 dollars. It will be small but it'll be comfortable. You can have a day or two where you go out and party good. If you have any health issues or anything is will be tough. Okay all that's just basic my three pics for the area as far as looking for a place. BACOLOD very nice city life and mellow. Hospitals doctors everything good. Apartment probably nice one around 500. Cebu mike knows a little more about this city and spoke on its several times. San Carlos this is where i am at. Apartments 300 to 500 dependent how fancy you want to go. There are hospitals doctor center private and public hospital. 130,000 is the population. They call the city the cleanest city in the entire country. That might be because there's a ban on plastics and cigarettes here. The grocery stores use cardboard boxes or paper bags for your groceres. If you don't care for the big city so much you might want to check this out for a weekend or something if you're in cebu and don't mind the five hour bus ride. Absolutely beautiful and the peninsula. I hope you enjoy and I hope it might help some of you.
